I had a lot of trouble with the tattoo issue. I have been raised in a family that does not approve, at all, of tattoos. I do not think someone should get a tattoo on a whim or of something of no importance to them. After thinking for years about this issue, I have constucted my own ideas about tattoos, at least for myself. I believe that a tattoo that is meaningful, well thought out, and can be hidden for important events is perfectly legitimate. In fact, it is the very permanency that draws me to tattoos; I think it serves as a solitary stable factor in my life.
